Desirous delivered twins in 2010 sired by Star Marker - a heifer and a bull. Unfortunately the heifer tested to be a freemartin which means she will be infertile. For those that don't know, twins in cattle share blood vessels in the placenta. When the fetuses are different sex (male/female), male hormones pass from the male twin to the female twin. The male hormones then masculinize the female twin, and the result is a freemartin. This makes the female infertile. The male twin is generally not affected. Desirous has been exposed back to Star Marker.
